Online Vinyl Deals

Sadly this is the risk with ordering those titles from Target/UDiscover. With how popular the sales are + how popular the BN titles are, trying to get them at a real cheap price has its pitfalls.

I have the Dylan Oh Mercy MoFi on backorder through Target. Really hoping it comes through. They just got restocked at MD/MoFi and I just approved a delay so my fingers are crossed...

I'm having trouble with the Acoustic sounds series, both Nina's have gone from pre-order to back order & I've had to order again, in the hope they get them in eventually. Now we are a week past the release date of Sarah Vaughan & I think the same thing has happened, no shipment. I'm beginning to think the problem isn't with Deep Discount but with the supply (given that it's all from the same series), I suspect Acoustic Sounds have taken more orders than they can fulfil.

I also have Oh Mercy on back order, but at Deep Discount.

edit - just got a shipping notice for the KG T-Rex (they are all coming in slowly bar the Acoustic Sounds)

So this might be a weird one for this thread but I can't think of a better page for it.

A month or so ago on Reddit a user created a tool called "Discops" (www.discops.com) which, by my luddite understanding, is a web app that alerts you when an item you've submitted for tracking or an item on your wishlist comes up for sale within the parameters you set. I was a bit skeptical but tried it anyway using the item by item method for 5-10 or so of my most wanted. I've gotten only two emails for them and it's done what it said it would do. It helped me snag one of my most wanted items today in my price range.

I think they do mobile alerts and it's possible the Distill.io extension would be quicker but it's worked well for me. Hope it might let people hunt for some goodies. It seems most people either use it for their rare wants or to monitor for cheap pricing on wider want lists

Reddit Post on it:

I used a similar site for an eBay search a few weeks back and it found me the very specific item I was looking for within just a few days. Much better than eBay's own "saved searches" emails.

I saw this and have it bookmarked but haven't used it yet. It's a travesty that discogs wantlist and notification system is such trash.

15% off site-wide at DeepDiscount with code: WREATH

Might be a good time to buy that (possibly Rocktober) T. Rex - Electric Warrior :D
Finally got around to listening to this and can throw my hat into the 'sounds great!' ring. A smidgen hot/high-end heavy to my listening, but I'm not surprised by that given that my ORG Santa Maria pressing is a complete sibilant mess.

This one is cut hot, which is very similar to the original UK pressings of it. Same with KG's DSOTM cut. He was trying to get close to the original UKs which people love. I actually prefer the MoFi Electric Warrior but it's a 45 which is a bit annoying because I'm real lazy. I still find myself spinning the 45 over the KG cut and i LOVE KG. I think if I had the KG first I would have skipped out on the MoFi though. Both are great.
