Political Discussion

I find his following musings not wrong but I think heißt running with the wrong Party and candidate if he has that notion
I mean there are not bad things there. The one thing about the Grandmother keeping her job is that before this he states that it was very good for his son and suggests there have been studies that back this up. So you know, you would lose that benefit:

The one thing I don’t like about this is that it is a total savings of 6 billion dollars but only 1.5B comes out of out of pocket costs, but it’s a win, regardless.
It’s all relative. If Medicare saves money here they will hopefully pass along the saving in other ways. I would rather the money stay with Medicare than go to drug companies.

From wsj article about Vance and Harris being cooks:
“ I think he made maybe 15 batches of biscuits in the course of five months,” Usha Vance recalled. “We were just giving them away to everyone we encountered at that point.”
15 batches in 5 months. That was too many biscuits for a Kentucky boy with a big family? Weird.

He moved to Ohio but was born Kentucky? I think? I think the book is about Kentucky? I don’t know?

Edit: looked it up, he’s from Ohio. His family is from Kentucky.

TLDR, I’m a fucking clown and you should ignore me.
Hillbilly Elegy is a book about growing up in Ohio, full stop.

This is a good podcast ep about it from folks who read it so you don't have to. (Recorded prior to the VP nod, so especially interesting for where Vance stood in The Culture a couple years back)
