Let's look at inflation, and by all means, share away.
So my cousin owns a service station here in IL, he used to pump gas way back when but opted to go just the service route. This morning he posted a "Now and Then" showing the renovations he's done, funny enough, this was one of the pics.
That was back in 2016, 8 years ago, so I just had to look up the average gas price today in IL for Reg. , $3.319, $1.02 difference in 8 years. While I understand there have been bumps along the road, people digging in there heals about prices need to open their eyes and jump into reality. A reality, that even when the economy is "good", there are still people struggling.
I've come to a certain realization with some of my family that's well off, they just like to complain. I'm not saying they shouldn't complain if something warrants it, but they aren't suffering in any way, shape or form in this "terrible" economy. It just doesn't suit their narrative (they're Southerners).
This is what irritates me the most, that we can look at the sky, know it's Blue, but if the oompa lumpa says it's Orange, they all say it's Orange, while we're staring straight at it. I think I've used the descriptor of "The Upside Down" a lot, but it really is the only way to describe this insanity.
