Have you tried Bolivian coke? It’s pretty good. Oh! You meant the beverage. Never mind.I've seen two flavors of this on my friendslist: he's going to get rid of all the additives they put in food here and he's going to get companies to make healthier food.
Which, hey, I guess that's a thing that could happen. It's not gonna but it could. You'd need to enact some hard regulations to get US foods and sodas to start using sugar instead of corn syrup -- it would be super cool to have american coke taste like mexican coke -- but it's not gonna happen on RFK's whim, so good fucking luck changing the business practices of every food and drink manufacturer in the US.
Biden allows Ukraine to use US arms to strike inside Russia — Reuters
President Joe Biden's administration has allowed Ukraine to use U.S.-made weapons to strike deep into Russia, two U.S. officials and a source familiar with the decision said on Sunday, in a significant reversal of Washington's policy in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.apple.news
Here is another source I found as the NYT linked was paywalled.
Mr. Casual Everyday over here arguing with the pope lol
I'm in higher education at one of the largest public universities in the South.Where do you teach, again?
Yes. They often are. Someone who needs to remind everyone that they are in charge in every meeting and in every email. It's a weird level of insecurity. They feel threatened by any question and get very rude and defensive no matter how light or inoffensive the question is.Whoever wrote this sounds like a real dickhead.
Damn this is wild! Do you think the word "trump" was used there purposely or am I reading too much in to it?
TBH, I read it as "Trump" at first and had to reread as the context was off.
Cause no child left behind did wonders for primary school, let’s do it at the university level. Ugh.Yes. They often are. Very much not a Trump supporter, but someone who would sell out anyone to advance themselves. So they'll do whatever anyone in any position of authority wants if it'll make them look good. Their entire personality is made up of kissing asses above and shitting on those below. Knowing their research and background it's honestly shocking how brazenly they contradict the values they talk out one side of their mouth.
This dude fuckin sucks.
holy shit that is so aggressively confrontational. yikes. It was a vague and threatening email. Quote:
"The only constant is change, and the coming changes are things most of you will not like. You should be prepared and know that your desires and the freedoms that your jobs have historically enjoyed are neither a priority nor will they be tolerated as reasons or topics open for discussion under the new direction and strategy next year. The only driving force moving forward will be what makes sense from a business standpoint. That will be the new model for education here and will trump every other argument, end of discussion. Students are to be seen as customers and you are in customer service from here on out."
22 years of education to become a doctor and be told that I'm in customer service and these young adults are really kids who can do and say whatever they want as I serve them up some fries.
holy shit that is so aggressively confrontational. yikes.
like, it's so aggro it's legitimately unprofessional.
Sure, I Voted for Someone Whose Policies Might Kill You, but Now’s the Time to Put Aside Our Differences

So true.
Much respect to you and lots of luck too. I’ve learned over the last 20 years of social media to keep low and present as small of a profile as possible.I'm in higher education at one of the largest public universities in the South.
It can be figured out somewhat easily from that, but I don't want to say more than that given my public research profile and how easy it would be to dox me on here with very bad consequences for my life especially given the current climate.
