I would like to say thank you for the reassurance. Yesterday during my meal break at work, I overheard a coworker say things to another coworker like "they found MASSIVE voter fraud" and couldn't help but think that he got his news from conspiracy outlets. Baseless claims, as far as I'm concerned. I'm not seeing any proof of so-called "voter fraud" with a quick Google search.
His words were jarring for two minutes after he spouted that nonsense, though (also lost my appetite afterwards
).

I’m doing it to help everyone here but also myself. I was full on panicking on Tuesday night and it was a rough 3 days. It’s so easy for us to just accept that things will go wrong since they have. As far as everything I’ve seen our elections are still working, even if GOPers are stifling votes where they can.

tl;dr - he is saying the DOJ will investigate any irregularities they could find. Twitter was (and probably rightly, a little bit) freaking out about it being a Coup.
Literally zero. Zero. No evidence at all about Fraud is being found. Unless there’s some kind of planted evidence nothing will happen. Anytime there’s been any kind of “evidence” like the laptop, the video of ballots burning on printer paper, it’s been swiftly denied and shut down.
It’s all just stroking fears.

Barr found no evidence in the Russia investigation, Biden's role with Burisma, and pretty much every special errand Trump demanded he do. He won't find anything here outside of minor issues that you'd find in any election. This is all for show.
On Fauci, he could try to fire Fauci. If somehow successful, Biden would let Fauci know that he should enjoy his 2 month vacation and be ready for business on Jan 21.

My big takeaways from that last highlighted bit are
1.
the word OVERT implies that the DOJ can partake in such actions, they just shouldn’t do it in the public’s eye

I think Barr doesn’t want to get fired so he basically is putting out this “investigation” to appease Trump. Nothing will actually come of it. He might be a puppet but much the DA are not. Nothing will come of it but it sounds serious.

Why doesn’t Trump and co. try to get a pardon from Biden? If this all can go away for him, would he do it? If he can just fuck off for the rest of his life and we never have to listen to him again. Even though justice would not be served, that’s not a bad trade right now.

They don't need a person from Biden. Trump can pardon them himself, and likely will. He'll also likely attempt to pardon himself for everything he's ever done.

Because they think they have a legitimate chance of winning this in court. With the correct pawns in place I believe they may as well. I don’t think it right, I think it’s bullshit, and I think the man can burn in hell.... but it appears, that our legal system is fundamentally fucked and not just from a street drugs vs. white collar crime level.
