While this is absolutely indefensible and outrageous I do have to wonder about the actual roots of the school shootings. When I was in HS I had a shotgun behind the seat of my truck and numerous kids had guns in their vehicles on school property because there were no rules against it nor reason for there to be. I specifically remember the school principal in the parking lot admiring another student's new rifle. We all carried blades on our hips. The doors were not locked. We didn't have drills or worry about any of it because these things weren't viewed as weapons but tools.I graduated 3 years before Columbine. What actually happened?
