The two party system is terrible, should be destroyed and I'll dance in the street when the Dems are gone (so long as it's at the same time or right after the GOP), but there's really no both-sideism at all to be had on the topic of encouraging violence or threatening democracy.

I can think of four examples off the top of my head where this is both precedented and more successful.

But let’s tone down the political rhetoric. Words matter and they really matter when you are in positions of power but suddenly it’s cool to elect the Matt Gaetz, MTG of the world and we wonder why these things happen. To say nothing of the mental health issues and easy access to weapons of war problem that we have in this country.

I just saw him on Meet The Press practically in tears comparing Trump to Teddy Roosevelt, saying that Trump is the “toughest guy he’s ever met”. This, from Graham, who was supposedly best buds with John McCain, a man who was severely injuries after his plane was shot down and spent 6 years in a Vietnamese POW camp.
