Record Store Day 2022

Same - It wasn't really even on my list until I watched that video and then Youtubed a few songs. Now, solidly in the maybe category.
I think it’s on my alt list now. I think if pressed right it would be a cool release. I have that Ramones 2 live release from last year or so and I like it a lot. One of my favorites is the Tears For Fears live release.

I’m debating it honestly! If Sara Barellies is not able to be found I may pick that up!

For real, his videos have been hugely beneficial and interesting, especially since he probably is taking a loss on each of them given it has to be an opened product (though moving that product down the line probably isn't going to be that hard)

Thanks to these videos I now know if things are worth the money and I added something new to the alt list….. I always enjoy these videos along with Toad Hall and SpinMeRound.

I've given this guy a bit of grief on occasion, but it's really nice of him to show these RSD releases in advance. He's not going to have any trouble selling what he has, so this really does seem like more of a public service than an extended sales pitch, and it's helpful to see exactly what you get if you buy one of these. Thanks, Mike.
He’s made me feel bad on occasion for the pressings I own…. It’s personal reasons, but I respect his opinion on things. I always enjoy the content and if he buys up a huge collection I can’t so it’s a cool thing to see.

I'm going to have to go back and listen to those Ramones albums as i'm sure there will be plenty leftover regardless for at least awhile. I remember liking some of the early 80's albums by them but those last few I honestly don't really remember at all but that box set looks nicely done and with a possible post RSD slash in price could become quite, quiteee delectable real quick.

I'm hoping that LA Woman Sessions is really 18k+ as well which should make that fairly easy to get as that's another one i'm on the fence about especially after hearing Mr. Grundman put his magical touch on this release of it.

A lot of massive quantity sizes on many releases so it will be very interesting seeing the discount bins later this year with some hopeful "maybe's" from my list.

The only releases I'll be gunning for are Pepper Adams, Dillinger Escape Plan and Jazz Dispensary. I maaaay pick up that Pete Townshend live album.

I'm still going back and forth on the Ramones boxset. They're one of my favorite bands of all time, but the 80's weren't their best years.

Agreed. After seeing the wealth of quality titles in discount and clearance sales (online and in person) from last year's batch, and the sheer volume of records this year, I think gambling on some of the maybes is my call too. I am still surprised at the pressing runs on a lot of these, especially those 2xLP, 3xLP, Boxes, of non-essential releases.

I do wonder on the Ramones release. All of my logic says it's gonna sit for a while ($150+ with 10k min copies) but so much of that has been out of print for ages and it's a beloved band at a reasonable per album valuation. Luckily it's not a huge priority for me but that's kind of a tough decision. The leftovers are gonna be real interesting this year

Looks like this is going to be really hard to get, glad I am not a Swiftie.

Toad Hall put up a video today and pretty much said as much: every store is getting the most calls on this and it's pretty allocated. I'm assuming it's going to be as absent as the Haim/Swift 7" from a little while back or even worse.

My store was able to get the haim. I am debating on this right now, but it's not directly on my list. I think this is going to be a chaotic as the Pearl Jam unplugged.

Sounds like most stores got 20 copies or less.
