I was watching week-to-week but I was getting too antsy so after the corporate retreat episode I stopped watching and decided to wait until it finishes its run and then binge the whole thing. I binged a rewatch of season 1 prior to starting season 2 and I feel that is a better way for me to enjoy this. We've been watching every episode twice this season, looking forward to watching that one again.
Great discipline! We usually don't watch the latest Severance or White Lotus episodes until the following day, but both shows have us excited to watch asap.I was watching week-to-week but I was getting too antsy so after the corporate retreat episode I stopped watching and decided to wait until it finishes its run and then binge the whole thing. It’s funny there are currently at least 3 shows I am waiting for all the episodes to drop before diving in, Severance, Jack Reacher, and The White Lotus. As a result I have just been primarily focused on rewatching Mad Men. With the end of that fast approaching, I am gonna try to fit in the new Netflix Mindy created Kaling Basketball comedy, Running Point. It has a killer supporting cast and the previews look pretty funny.
Seriously...I don't know how you can dodge spoilers from that long.Great discipline!
We watch Severance live on Thursday nights then rewatch again over the weekend. If for some reason we can't watch it on Thurs., both of us stay offline so as to avoid any spoiler, and sit down with coffee on Fri a.m. to watch it.Seriously...I don't know how you can dodge spoilers from that long.
Severance is actually one of the shows I DON'T mind watching week to week.
Reacher I kind of wish I could binge but it's something to look forward to on Thursdays I guess.
I am not an “avoid spoilers at all costs” kinda person. Twists are fun but if it’s quality entertainment, it’ll be a fun regardless.Seriously...I don't know how you can dodge spoilers from that long.

I absolutely loved it. The premise is really interesting and I thought it was really well done. I don't want to say too much as to give anything away. They already announced a second season to so I think it's worth giving it a shot.Anyone have thoughts on Paradise?
I think that's going to be our next watch, and probably one of the last before we cancel Disney+.

That's too bad, I really enjoyed it and disagree with much of your assessment. But thats ok, people like different things!Just finished the season.
It was okay. For me it kind of came off as an unserious network TV drama. I don't know why I went in with any impression otherwise. It was entertaining but really flawed. The writing at times was pretty bad, the plot was pretty predictable so a lot of the shocks fell flat. The whole playing a song, then putting a cheesy cover of said song at the end thing got annoying FAST.
I really like Sterling K Brown as an actor, I'm not sure this was a good use of his talents though.
I'll check out season 2 just to see where it goes when it opens up a bit, but I'm not super excited for it's return.
Loved it, ready for season two!Anyone have thoughts on Paradise?

I'm finding the pacing of this latest season a bit off. It's good still, but the last couple of episodes could've done more with the time and be less concerned with shots that add to atmosphere and less to do with telling the story. The last episode in particular could've done a better job filling the time.I think this season of Severance is, overall, quite good, but I’m enjoying the sci-fi more than the mystery. I’m liking the ”you’re using my body to cheat on me,” what does it mean to be a person who exists within another person (or what does it mean to have a person existing in parallel with you) more than the mysterious project, weird ether dynasty, basement brain surgery aspects of the show. I may be in the minority, but the bottle episodes have been too mysterious and “reality”-breaking for me.

Like, you're really telling me 3 major characters, one with all the secrets spent all day together and we're only going to get some answers after a long journey to the Innie cabin?
