Ichiko Aoba (青葉市子) - Windswept Adan (signed)
Beautiful serenity. Japanese folk music that could double as sweet lullabies.
This was my second favorite concert (out of 43) that I experienced last year, and also one of my ten favorite concerts of all time. I saw her mid-October in a small, fully seated 300cap venue. I brought this copy from home, and also got a small signed poster at the merch table. Aoba was kind enough to sign my record along with taking a few moments to snap a photo together! Not a month has gone by since where I haven't thought about this concert.
I've recently moved this album into my top10 of 2020 on a revised favorites list, as I've had time to digest it years later with it being a December release in that year, and also upon reflecting on her discography as a whole. I hope I get to see her perform again someday.

I've done Coachella once, the last time they did one day ticket sales (2007). Was a great, but exhausting day, drove up from San Diego to Coachella, did the festival, sat in traffic, finally drove home and coached a little league game. Got to see Noisettes, Arctic Monkeys, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Interpol, Bjork, and these guys with their first live show in almost 10 years (with Scarlett Johannson singing backup on Just Like Honey)

Was playing this for my playthrough over on the What's Spinning thread, and realized with exceptional covers of Superstition and Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) this album definitely has a place here today too.
