Michael Giacchino ~ The Batman (2022 Mondo SDCC Version, #416/500)
Day 15 - Play an album by an artist you've seen in concert
I was out of town, fell kinda behind but I think I can catch up....I like so many of these upcoming prompts.
I decided to go with the most recent concert I've been to....this was such a great freaking show. The whole band was excellent, energetic and connected...and in a 400 seat venue.
And for fun, here's the first band I ever saw in concert.
Day 15.2 - Herbie Hancock won his AOTY off an album of Joni Mitchell covers. Play another covers album or an album with a cover you love (bonus points if you play the original version of the song as well)
Red Hot + Blue - This is a fantastic collection of Cole Porter songs.
Day 16 - Stevie Wonder gained creative control the year prior to this and started his classic era, play another album where an artist has complete creative control
Day 17 - Stevie Wonder is the first artist to win AOTY with back to back album releases, play the follow up album to an album youve played previously in the month
Day 18
Paul Simon – Still Crazy After All These Years
Stevie Wonder won AOTY the two previous years in a row and then took a year off from releasing music, Paul Simon famously thanked Stevie for not releasing and album so he could win. Play an album by any artist who isnt Stevie Wonder
Brandi Carlile – By The Way, I Forgive You
Brandi Carlile, great though she may be, is definitely not Stevie Wonder!
Day 19
Stevie Wonder – Songs in the Key of Life
Following Paul Simon thanking Wonder for not releasing music, Wonder won a 3rd time with his next release, play an album by an artist with a killer hot streak
Joni Mitchell – Blue
Personally, I think Clouds through Hejira was a killer hot streak. Whether that's agreed upon or not remains to be seen, but I think it can pretty safely be agreed at the very least that Ladies of the Canyon thru Court and Spark was a killer hot streak.
Modonna’s streak of albums from her Debut in 83 until Music in 2000 is insane in how consistently great it is! Even the worst album she released in that time frame is still great in my opinion
Billy Joel - 52nd Street
This was the first album to be released commercially on CD! play a CD or an album that you also own on CD
Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
I actually own three variants of this on vinyl, LMAO.
Anyways, it remains my #2 overall from pandemic season and I've returned to it often to this day. Good thing I didn't play the physical (hehe) copies nearly as much as the digital, as both would've been worn out by now had the listening medium frequency been reversed.

In addition to touring / recording with Bob Weir (solo/ratdog) and Lou Reed, Rob Wasserman put out some great albums that highlight his bass playing alongside some high caliber collaborators.
Since I don't currently have a CD player, listening on spotify, glad to have a reason to search this one out though. Its been awhile.
