One day the Organized Konfusion album "Stress: The Extinction Agenda" wasn't on Spotify and then one day it was, then it wasn't again! I was excited then let down but it came back and stayed and I was over the moon! This is one of those records I've loved but only ever had on cassette and when I saw that it wasn't on Hollywood Basics, their previous label, and was on something called OK Music I had a glimmer of hope! I would love if the group reissued this and their other two albums so I could replace my bootleg copy of their first record and add this absolute banger to my collection! One day is all I can hope for!

Oh and if they could include this remix that would be great!

So we're going to talk about skits on hip hop albums aren't we? I'm not sure if De La Soul and Prince Paul invented the skit on a hip hop album but they made it popular and everyone else thought it was a good enough idea they'd try their hand at it with mixed results! Look I am so used to skits on albums I can usually ignore really bad ones but do I ever need to hear people having sex on record again? Fuck no!! With that being said I'm sure I could play Dr Dre or Biggie right now but we're going back to Organized Konfusion!!! The skits on their third and final record The Equinox are beyond distracting, they completely ruin the flow of the album!! I have this on cassette and would rarely listen to it because of the skits!! They are that bad! I have a friend that had it on CD and says it's a really good album you just need to skip every skit! Oh and speaking about skits I HATE when they start a song but are not a seperate track, like come on I don't want to hear this shit let me skip to the song please!
Almost caught up!
Enjoy this album, skip the skits!

Spinning Hop Along "Bark Your Head Off, Dog" - I picked this up used months ago and it sat on my to play pile for a long time, when I finally spun it the first time I noticed it had the same labels on both sides, how did I know which side is which, easy, someone crossed out the side 1 and wrote a big number 2 in Sharpe, problem SOLVED!! This isn't driving me crazy, no sir!

Now I could look to see if I still have that Edwin Starr 45 kicking around but I'd probably play Eric Burdon and War, just trying to decide between Declares War or Black-Man's Burdon...I really enjoy both records! I discovered them through a friend's dads record collection and when I hear them I think of my friend, his dad and then my dad and I get sad because both dad's are gone but I get happy thinking of all the good times and bullshit we got away with or were allowed to get away with back then and all to the soundtrack that's a mix of funk, soul, rhythm and blues, Latin, psychedelic rock, shit they really were a kitchen sink band!

Man I love George C Scott's performance in that movie...I'm probably due for a re-watch.

I went with Black Sabbath - War Pigs which is so fitting it's almost too easy. And Hand of Doom, probably my all-time favorite Sabbath song, touches on the fallout of war as well.

Saw the Bobby Lees just over a week ago, and it was an incredible show. Bought this album at the show, and realized when I got home that the cover was significantly warped. Not a good sign, opened it up and the album itself is pretty warped too. Sounds OK enough, but Ill probably try pressing it to see if it fixes it.
