First thing I thought of was playing the Mort Garson Plantasia album but I didn't fall for that FOMO the day VMP put it up for sale, I witnessed the madness but couldn't bring myself to get it, I must hate plants!!! I did stream it one evening and was trying to explain the album to my wife and she had this look on her face that said, you better not have actually bought this!! So because we can't post pictures I'll stream it and grow some plants or at least befriend a plant or two!

So I was listening to the new Hold Steady album, it's great by the way, and I noticed it said it was their 9th album and I thought that can't be true! I sat there thinking about it and couldn't get to 9 albums and thought why would they lie? So I looked it up and it turns out I was wrong and they were right! This concerned me enough to head out to my local record shop in search of those missing records!! I had no luck of course all they had were records I already owned so I thought again maybe they really didn't put out 9 records!!! I'm now on a mission to fill the gap in my collection because I'm crazy and also it distracts me from all the other records I think I need to fill these massive gaps I think I have in my collection!

I think I'm one of the only people who really disliked this movie. I'm too much of a realist for it to connect, but I understand the sentiment behind it even if I don't share the approach. I still love love.

Kool Keith is a certified weirdo! He's been one from the jump so anytime he drops a project either as himself or as one of his many aliases I'm always going to check it out! He can rap his ass off and he commits to a character like no other!!! I can listen to Ultramagnetic MC's all day, and the first time I heard Dr. Octagon I don't think my mind was ready, it's still WILD AND WEIRD!! For this I was going to play Dr. DOOOM First Come, First Served because I don't have Dr. Octagon on vinyl, only CD, and I thought I had the Dr. DOOOM record but currently can't find it! So I guess I'll stream it?

Sun Ra & His Arkestra – Prophet

This one is a pretty wild "new" release. In 1986 Sun Ra & The Arkestra entered a state-of-the-art studio called Mission Control north of Boston, and nestled among their arsenal of keyboards was a Prophet VS ("Vector Synthesizer"). This is the only known recording of Sun Ra playing one of the most advanced keyboards he had encountered. It's also "weird" because it's Sun Ra - you can hear him testing and stretching the limits of what was sonically possible with this machine. Very cool stuff.
