From what I understand the new album is supposed to be a return to their roots but I thought it was going to be more in line with Alligator or Boxer

Yeah I think just maybe it’ll be less…ornate than IAETF and more guitar focused. But Weird Goodbyes, if it’s any indication on the style, also sounds like SWB a bit.
