I’ve loved their album art since Boxer. I just don’t like the head thing with this new art direction.

Could just be the single release, but if this is the album art then I’d expect the full on announcement. So there I’ll be again, refreshing the site while at work all morning

Album title has extra relevance to me as this is a common conversation I have with my 2 year old daughter.

Me: “How’s it going, kid?”
Toddler: “NOT kid. FRANKENSTEIN.”
Me: “Sorry. How’s it going, Frankenstein?”

I just hope that one of the singles has a good album artwork and I can use that as the defaul cover for the album in my iTunes….

I think it’s probably going to tie into more visuals that we’ll see on singles and even the interior and back pieces of the packaging and there will be a different context than what is in a cheesy mainstream rock band’s albums visuals but…the National aren’t the Dwarves or Cattle Decapitation. They don’t have a consistent visual identity and this isn’t light years from their past records or less punk/hard/indie.
