I hear you! But I don’t want this to flop so they continue doing VMP Anthologies! But at the same time, I don’t want prices to increase more because VMP know they can still sellout with high prices.tbh this is probably a good thing for VMP in general...
they need something like this to flop
its sad it had to be something about the women of motown
but they had to know that their pricing stuff isn't actually gonna work (especially when they are planning on ending sales in a week and a half)
But yeah, I just hope pricing isn’t too high on the next VMP Anthology.
However, I’m cutting down on standard new vinyl releases in general. Like I’m not even getting Sampa The Great for example. I’m just going to choose quality over quantity. I know the records in this Motown box will bring much more joy when I spin them compared to most of the new vinyl releases I buy.
I’ll have to ‘really’ like the new release/artist for when they release their new album on vinyl. E.g - Danny Brown, JPEGMAFIA & FKA Twigs
I just need to stop spending so much on vinyl. I can’t really afford it with the lifestyle I want. But I’m OK dramatically cutting back on vinyl spending. I’m literally spending at least a couple hundreds each week though

Now that so much people love vinyl, so much good shit is coming out (Blue Note Tone Poet/Blue Note 80, VMP Exclusives, Fatbeats exclusives, Light In The Attic etc).
