Go on, geezer.
I really hope they announce quarterly from now on.
I AM SO EXCITED FOR IT!!!Does anyone have a mockup pic of Aretha?
Where did they announce that?QOSTA announced they will be releasing other vinyl options for Songs for the Deaf shortly as well
for those who have it disabledChrist. I've had signatures disabled for so long I forgot they even existed. And that's only been like 4 months.
Which, on another note, made me realize that this forum has been around for 4 months. Pretty cool.
Additional vinyl options for that album? Or more QOTSA VMP exclusives like they just did with Flaming Lips?
storf didn't really imply many exclusives for QOTSA... in fact he only mentioned the one that was just done yesterdayAdditional vinyl options for that album? Or more QOTSA VMP exclusives like they just did with Flaming Lips?
Just seems weird...Storf made a huge deal out of it and now it might just be a color variant as their ROTM? I can’t remember the last time they did that. That is an email from the band in reference to Songs for the Deaf. It’s not explicitly stated but that is the assumption
And hot take on VMP: very few of their "Essentials" are essential to me.
Well, if you do find yourself weak and fall for it, you know what to do.Dammit, I hate VMP and how they use FOMO to sell things. If they know there's going to be a high demand, then freaking press more and make more money! I want that Aretha really bad and should be able to get it without issue when it's available in November, but because they're business model doesn't make sense I may not be able to. So now they have me wondering if I should sign up for 3 months, swap this month and sell QOTSA to ensure I get Aretha. But the problem is, I KNOW THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT! And it's still tempting. So I'll (hopefully stay strong and) wait and hope I can get Aretha in a couple months. If not, fuck 'em because I used to love supporting them, but now I hate it.
Hmmm. I bet they would wait awhile before they did their own thing but sounds like they will do some reissue of their own at SOME pointThat is an email from the band in reference to Songs for the Deaf. It’s not explicitly stated but that is the assumption
I would normally be in 100% agreement of this... but I just don’t understand why QOTSA’s camp would specifically write “additional vinyl options will be available and announced shortly”I’m gonna hold off on assuming that the SFTD ROTM will just be a color variant of concurrent reissues. That hasn’t happened in a LONG fucking time. And while I know that VMP has burned all of us over this past year, intentionally hooking people into a 3 month sub now for an album that will have other variants being released in the same month is a level of scumminess that I really can’t see VMP stooping to quite yet. Maybe I’m wrong or overly optimistic, and I’m sure plenty of y’all will disagree, and that’s fine. But I’m keeping pitchforks nicely tucked away at this point, and assuming a non-VMP reissue will come out many months after the ROTM
I’m assuming VMP is getting the special edition with the nice packaging and colored vinyl and what not. I’m sure this is going to have a wide release on black vinyl with standard packaging early-mid 2020. Similar to Demon Days.I would normally be in 100% agreement of this... but I just don’t understand why QOTSA’s camp would specifically write “additional vinyl options will be available and announced shortly”
