There is no way this Outkast situation isn't going to be an outright fiasco. I bet you anything they didn't press enough, sold out, and now are trying to come up with some way to fix it... Which is why people are getting emails about Ivy Sole suddenly being in swaps. I fully expect I will not be getting this record this month.

feel like VMP never gets the benefit of the doubt. Kinda sad to read all this outrage over and over again.

Again, this must be one of the big reasons why they closed down the forums. I wouldn't want to respond to any of these comments if I worked at VMP either.

Whoa wait. How do you not make enough to cover the existing R&HH subscribers? If someone's had a RHH sub, they damn sure better get a copy before someone who swapped into one. That's just asinine.

Yeah, I used to be subbed to RHH but switched my main sub to Classics. I swapped for this and my swaps are closed and it is pending in my orders. Doesn't make sense to me that someone who was subbed and didn't swap wouldn't get it if I get it. Of course, it doesn't make sense that I wouldn't get it either.

I joined VMP to get the Blossom Dearie record which had been something I’ve always looked for.
I thought the club seemed to have an excellent curatorial program and added the Hip Hop sub.

But - wow - since then I’ve been simply amazed ( and to a degree amused ) by the consistent fuck ups!

I can’t believe this company has been around for a while and yet is managing to operate so shoddily.

I’m both fascinated and frustrated by the spectacle.

Anyway, my swaps are closed and order is pending... will have to wait and see what that actually means!

I wasn't of the camp that thought the forums were shut down due to us calling them on their bullshit, But everyday its seems to grow more true.

I joined about 2 years ago, and in my experience things ran pretty smoothly at first. Then about 6-8 months ago is when things seem to have completely fallen apart. It's a shame.

Just got an email saying i'm not getting my Outkast. Mind you, I have been a Rap and Hip-Hop member since nearly the beginning. If anyone should be first serve it should be those like me. I am astounded and pretty darn grumpy.

Yeah, that sucks. Priority should be given in order of how long you have been a member.

Got the same email. Sent a pissed off response back as being an active subscriber to the rap/hiphop track.

I swear they are fulfilling new members who just signed up for this to be on great terms with them rather than us who are already hurt and can take more punches.

So to sum up the month. I’m about to receive my 4th NTR. I’m gonna get repress of OutKast 2 months late. And I’m a 50/50 shot to get the Weyes Blood I ordered the moment it went live in early February. Yikes.

Yep, just got the same email. VMP screws they're loyal members again. As someone said above, I'm sure they're fulfilling the new members orders first to try to keep them from leaving. What a crap company.

VMP has never fulfilled orders on a first-come, first-served basis. Since 2015 they've explained that their fulfillment is "random" though it's since become clear that there are shipping batches, at least. I quit in 2017 because even back then people would miss out on oversold exclusives in spite of having bought in the first minute of availability. And of course they virtually never received any notification from the company. Now that VMP is trying to sell out as many subs as possible, they are barely ordering enough--and obviously they've never had adequate inventory tech/control, so this kind of thing is all but inevitable. It totally sucks, and I feel bad for everyone impacted, but it's also very much par for the course.

I see that mine says swaps are closed and it's pending. I'm guessing that since mine automatically renewed and I didn't swap or change anything that I might be put in with the first round of shipments. RHH is the only track I'm subscribed to and it's never changed. If perhaps I was with Essentials and decided to swap out for RHH maybe that would have put me in the later shipping range.

I don't know for sure any of this. I might still get this email who knows? Anyway yeah... What a mess. And to think about how probably 95% of the folks who are using VMP don't know about these issues really bothers me.

The forum purge makes sense...
