Hahahaha no doubt and now they've edited their main post after everyone has shit on them. It's fucking hilarious people get that worked up about downvotes.
 
I wonder if it correlates to something like New Subs and or annual subs vs. 3 month or monthly(if that's still a thing).

I.e. they don't care how long you've been here, but are prioritizing new or longer term subscribers.

For curiosity I wish I had added hip-hop and NOT swapped out this month just to see.
 
I see that mine says swaps are closed and it's pending. I'm guessing that since mine automatically renewed and I didn't swap or change anything that I might be put in with the first round of shipments. RHH is the only track I'm subscribed to and it's never changed. If perhaps I was with Essentials and decided to swap out for RHH maybe that would have put me in the later shipping range.
Nah, I swapped and mine closed and someone who had been subscribed to RHH for a while got the email. No rhyme or reason.

I actually signed up for this record on a monthly sub. I had been away from VMP and they were offering a free record to come back.

I am still getting Outkast and have received no email (yet).
 
I would be annoyed (but not necessarily pissed) if they just postponed sending out the entire sub until they get enough copies to cover everyone. This Random Bullshit is what infuriates me. If your going to send out a portion on time then make sure the people that have been long-standing and loyal customers are taken care of first. I have spent thousands of dollars with them. Not to “big dick” anyone but If they think I am less important than someone who dips in every once in a while to buy a record here or there they are fucking absurd. Mother Fuckers.
 
When they starting adding subs and starting doing preorders. It has been all downhill since.

Yep...this is what I saw. Adding the Classics track wasn't a lot of strain on them, but cracks started forming...once the R&HH track started up, it went straight downhill. 3 tracks and all the store exclusives was just too much. Customer service was the first to fall off...then errors and all the other issues just compounded it.


Oh...and I swapped my Classics for this and didn't get an email --- and now I feel like shit because I think someone that subs to that track should be getting my copy.

My swaps closed and no email so I'm assuming I'm getting this one. I added my RHH the day this was announced, so it seems a bit silly for me to get it over people who have that as their main track, but maybe it's just the karmic leveling of me not getting Nat Turner. Despite being happy this is coming my way I feel bad for everyone else. I asked them about this back at the old place, but they really need to get some sort of loyalty program in place that would at least patch over this kind of drama.
 
I am an annual subscriber now for two years, I received Nat the first time, had no issue with Oriental Jazz, and it looks like I will be receiving Outkast, I certainly never would expect me to be prioritized over subscribers who have been here since day 1, but I am now inclined to believe that those who 'support' them long term are those who win out in these toss-up situations. But who knows I could get an email tomorrow that says your SOL and my theory will no longer be valid
 
I missed the infamous night that the Anthology thread was deleted on the old forum. Is that guy endlessly defending VMP against all criticism the VJ guy? Or are they separate entities?

False. I’m annual and got the email. Random as... not sure if I’m allowed to curse out vmp but you get the point
 
Has anyone outside the US received the email? I haven't and wonder if only US customers are affected because of the cost concern of sending additional packages separately.
