Hi [SirEmoBunny],
We want to extend our sincerest apologies for the recent delays in both shipping and customer support replies. We are reaching out to you directly because your order(s) is in the backlog of orders we’re still working to ship. While we always anticipate higher than usual orders this time of year, the combination of increased orders and challenges with our recent system migration combined to overwhelm both our logistics and customer support teams.
We have added additional customer support representatives who are working overtime to answer your questions as quickly as possible and our warehouse is working extra shifts over the weekend and into the holidays to remedy the delays.
As of this morning, we have shipped approximately 70% of our December orders and we anticipate being caught up in the next 7-10 days.
Expect to receive multiple shipments from VMP over the course of the month.
Once we are through the backlog our typical order bundling will resume.
If you have already emailed customer support, we kindly request that you do not send a second email as it will actually further delay our ability to respond in a timely manner – which neither of us want! Unfortunately, at this time, our customer support team members are unable to offer detailed statuses on orders which are marked “unfulfilled.” Please know that these orders haven’t been lost, and will be packed and shipped out as soon as possible. All tracking information will be sent via email as things leave the warehouse.
We understand the frustration associated with these delays and take full responsibility for any inconvenience this has caused. We are grateful to have you as a member of our community and we’re doing everything in our power to ensure you have an awesome, music-filled holiday season.

Well, now that I know the factory workers will be working over the holidays, I'm happy! What more could you want?

I take back any bad things I said about VMP, and I'll be joyfully purchasing colored vinyl records at a 30% markup in the coming year!
 
I voted no. They need to put on their big boy pants and hire some temps to get this done. This problem is so much bigger than a ROTM. If they staffed up with seasonal workers (like every other online retail company) they could be packing boxes literally 24/7. Maybe it wouldn't actually be on a truck yet, but every single member would at least have tracking numbers.

Here's the thing - it's not an issue that resulted from staff bandwidth. This is all due to poor planning, management, and execution on a system migration. And unless they fix THAT, we're in for the same problems next month, regardless of whether they hire temps for this month.

Eh, have you been on reddit? People are saying that VMP "stole from them" and that vmp is a "ponzi scheme" and "payday loan" company.

I think you need to re-up your reading comprehension skills....no one has said VMP is a payday loan company.

People have said that they're financing the company through what is essentially a payday loan.

Plus you'll get it faster, since at that point you won't be a member, which apparently gets you priority access at VMP

This is true. I am not a member and ordered Fiona during the black Friday sale and have already received it without any issues. If I didn't check in on Reddit or this thread I would assume everything is smooth sailing over at VMP headquarters. I imagine this is the case for a lot of the more passive members.

No, I don't think. I think at this point the complainers are a loud minority. I'd be pissed if they delayed something I already paid for 3 weeks ago just to make complainers like you happy.
You're lucky then, of course it's shitty but it's not the end of the fucking world like some of you make it out to be.
I'm only going to say this once. Chill the fuck out with this attitude.
