Vinyl Storage Recommendation

If you only load one side I would be worried about it tipping when being moved. But if you use it like a peninsula, coming out from a wall and load both sides it should be safe on casters.

Never done this, just guessing
I actually think I might make up small plywood bases and stick the units on that - I'm a bit worried about the lack of strength in the particleboard of the Kallax. They are only moving to the left and right - i have 2 units in a double wardrobe and they just fit, but I can't get all of the drawers to open where they are. All I need to do is move the units to the left and right by a centimetre or two and I'm home and hosed.

I would consider some bracing for the backside of the Kallax. I don't think they're built to handle lateral load.

Does anyone know of a company making cabinets that look like this? I want a table to hold my TT in the middle, two speakers on opposite sides on the top and the receiver underneath on the shelf. The space I have for this is about 38" wide, so something about 35/36" would be perfect. I'm using a table that is 32" and is too narrow right now.

This one would be perfect but that seller is in the UK and doesn't ship to the US. Others on Etsy are too small, missing that shelf for the stereo receiver, too ugly, or just too expensive.

You could construct something like this with pieces from Simple Wood Goods: Vinyl Record Storage for Albums, LPs and 45s - Simple Wood Goods

Not the cheapest, but they're well made from good materials.

Tactile Audio Furniture has similar designs and they also have a custom option. They are located in Colorado.

yeah..... I saw these before, and that would be perfect, but I don't want to spend $1,600 on one 🙃

My 45 has nothing, but the 33 my wife has upstairs came with some small adhesive felt pads for the bottom, and a little strip of rubbery liner that we put down the center of the inner surface to keep records from sliding.
I was referring to AnthonyL, looks like there's some kind of black foam or something at the bottom? It's different looking than the tiny little rubber I got with mine. Wondering if it's a DIY thing.

i feel like im reaching the limits of my cobbled together 3X4 setup (2x2, 1x1 and 3x2 together)

I feel like width wise i can fit one more 4x1 in and make a good 4x4 setup... but I am wondering about adding one more 1X4 to make it a 5X4.. but that might be a bit too much weight for the bottom ones and it could cause my target kallax's to break

I wonder if I should just buy a 5X4 from ikea or something
