Not a purchase that's aged well for me, but it was available for $11.67 on Amazon at the time. They have produced far superior efforts in the past, and this record in particular foreshadowed the EDM-pop band they have transitioned into now. Not saying it's lackluster from front to back, but "Miracle" in particular reminds me of Imagine Dragons in the worst way. Thinking it'll hit the PIF thread or one of my locals soon.

My daughter (10 years old) loves this album so much, so it's grown on me, even if I much prefer the first two. I guess if you end up PIFfing it, I'll have to get it for her. ;)

This Seance Centre pick is starting to click with me, and I love the improvisational, experimental style for an ambient record (as should be expected for an esoteric find).
Here's an interesting track on the LP (not quite representative of the core sound, if there even is one):

My collection #13

Galaxy

Slipping this one in the running order. I buy African records off one DJ who always slips in a random record (usually pretty decent). I didn't know much about this one apart from the group having Toyota on what look like boxing gowns. But playing the previous Debs compilation on Strut I suddenly realised this record was on Debs. In fact, I now see that volume 2 out on Friday (I think) from Strut has a song from this album on it. It's the usual funky, effortlessly upbeat fare that I love.

Ornette Coleman Double Quartet ‎– Free Jazz (Atlantic/London Records, 1961 First Pressing & 2018 Atlantic Years Box Set pressing)

My last side-to-side comparison. Love this album, its completely mad but opened my eyes to free jazz........actually the whole sub-genre takes its name from this album.

Ever wondered what it sounds like to hear 1 group perform through one channel whilst another performs at the same time through another? Check this out then!
