New Music Friday!

As in Warren Zevon? Also, what's the significance of Zevon as opposed to any other lyricist? Is he your benchmark for lyrical prowess? Or was he just given as one example? Just curious as there are many amazing lyricists out there
He’s the only one brave enough to write about seeing a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand.

New Music WEDNESDAY, 3.19.25.

With, what will likely be, one of the more memorable album covers of 2025, I'm now two full listens through the brand new Men I Trust album, Equus Asinus. This is the first time I've checked out a Men I Trust album in real time as it was released (thanks to @Hollywood and @wokeupnew for "introducing" me to the group back in 2021). I've very much enjoyed these two initial listens. Emma Proulx's vocals are enchanting for sure. The standout tracks after two listens are 'I Come With Mud', 'Frost Bite', 'The Landkeeper', and 'Unlike Anything', the lattermost being my favorite on the album. Looking forward to the other album they are slated to release still this year.

You absolutely have to listen to Oncle Jazz and Untourable Album now.

EDIT: I've listened to it once now and it's waaaaay more acoustic than anything they've done before. It's fine, but not as similar to those other two albums which I think are better.
