Everything Video Games!

So Hades is $20 in the US on Nintendo Switch... Do I buy it? I can't decide if I'm in or out. Haven't been able to get into Transistor (doni know how similar gameplay is).
I want to play Hades but my current backlog continues to grow out of control (my backlog contains both Bastion and Transistor, as I've actually never played a Supergiant game before), so I'm going to pass even though it's on sale. if it were a deeper sale I would buy it now and add it to the backlog but at $5 off I'm sure it will go on sale again, possibly even more than $5 off, when I'm done clearing out my huge backlog of games to play.

that said, if I didn't have around a dozen or more games in my backlog right now I would buy it at it's current sale.

I'm in the same boat as you. Got Transistor a few weeks back for $3.50 or so and haven't been able to get fully into it yet. Not to mention my pile of PS4 and Switch games that need completing... (including RDR2, Luigi's Mansion 3, etc., etc., ad infinitum).

I want the shiny new thing. But also know that I have plenty to play. And plenty of other things I don't yet own that I plan to play eventually.

I have no idea why I haven't been watching this thread before. Just dawned on me there could be other folk on here getting a ps5 like me 😂. Who is getting one and what games on launch?

I'm think of getting the Ultimate edition of Spiderman (i wanna play spiderman again and miles morales) & Watch Dogs Legion for starters 🤔

Going to need one for HZD 2 and Cyberpunk on my end!

Yeah ill want those aswell.. Those 2 are marked for 2021 though now aint they?
Cyberpunk is December currently, and it's technically PS4 with PS5 compatibility but I would be eager to see it on the newer hardware. Luckily these delays give me time to actually acquire a PS5 before they launch, because that whole console preorder rollout was a HOT MESS.

Cool. December is better for me. I dont want to be sucked into buying too many launch games anyway. I've got a couple games that can be upgraded for free to ps5 plus the 20 ps4 games library they are giving free with plus. Will be plenty to play in the mean time. I pre booked my PlayStation 5 about 1 year ago and paid it off by the month. I'm first to collect mine from my Gamestop on launch here 19th November. Had AL I have to use or lose in work too so 5 days off to play it 😂

Looks great! What's a cold room?
It's basically an uninsulated basement room that sits against the exterior foundation wall, usually used for storing food in. It's an old thing these old 1960s houses used to have. Some newer house have it too. It's handy for food storage but I need to get an insulated door because in the winter the cold air that comes through the current door is gunna SUCK in that room.

Mather has a root cellar.

You guys and your fancy low water tables. Jealous of people with basements.

Finally got around beating Streets of Rage 4.
Its fantastic! Highly recommended if anyone grew up with the Streets of Rage for the Genesis / Mega Drive.
Its a bit longer than the original series and probably feels that way if you straight up try to finish it in 1 go but its OK as you can save and pick it back up later between stages. Feel like there's a ton of replay-ability as they have a lot of unlocks for characters (include the 16-bit sprite versions of the old SoR games - along with their own original moves).

weird thing

i love the 3D on the 3DS.. i was actually a very early adopter of the console

but now that im over the age of 15 or so i realize that its hard to put in a stable position and now wish that i bought a new 3DS XL when those were still in stock (the original is too small for me and face tracking 3D is god tier)

that or kid icarus uprising controls like complete shit
