Everything Video Games!

Sure , and just like the just dance issue , you can immerse yourself in the play or phone it in.

My concern is primarily focused on if things like bowling and tennis (which have a muscle like memory ingrained) motions translate close enough to how well it worked on the Wii.

All in all it was pretty consistent in regards to movements / motion for what it is. If they can execute that as well as the Wii I think this will be a no brainer. Especially for those who “had all the Wii games. Bowling. Tennis. Baseball. Boxing”.
am I crazy in thinking you needed to release the trigger button in Wii bowling when releasing the ball? because my muscle memory had me wanting to release the ZR button when playing bowling in the Switch Sports demo, but it seemed like you don't release the button when bowling in that

Yes wii requires button release for ball release. Possibly there was a setting to disable it?

maybe, but it didn't seem like the Switch Sports demo allowed you to mess with the settings. but it felt weird to not release the button to throw the bowling ball

For all of you who have picked up Forbidden West yet....any first impressions? Review are off the chart and really enjoyed the first game but still having a hard time pulling the trigger on games at launch day prices. Happily replaying Mass Effect right now (thank you, Legendary Edition) but HZD: FW has got me thinking I might need to bit the bullet...

So...thoughts?
Emerging from my stupor after doing nothing but HFW (and sleep) after it finally arrived at 5PM on Saturday. I still haven't revealed even like 50%+ of the map!

All I'll say is this: I'm engrossed with this dang game, and it has certainly pushed things into unexpected and surprising places... and it's so dang satisfying.

Cooling my heels on HFW today. I'm 37 hours in and have at least half the map revealed now.

Hit a couple of quest lines last night that got me TILTED. Love how Guerrilla built a ton of variance into its fetch quests... I just unfortunately queued up two in a row that end in mega mini-bosses without direct stash access to restock potions. (Just git gud, me!)

Rethinking my plan to finish the game before the Elden Ring release on Friday. That was more so for my partner's sake so they could dive right in—not as if we'd have any issues sharing anyways. I've probably got at least another 30 hours of game left... probably more. Not to mention work, book club, etc.

I'd also eagerly await the next-gen Cyberpunk 2077 release, but HFW obv took total precedence. Probs will do CP2077 before Elden Ring once I finish Horizon.

Wow.

I just only got to the opening credits last night 😅

With half a million vehicles recalled last year, I feel like Tesla should be focusing on not having their cars catch fire or plow civilians instead of putting video games in them. Just my .02
I would imagine that there's probably different people responsible for those functions

Vehicles do not need video games playable by the driver when they should be you know... driving. This is idiotic and should be shut down by the safety board.
But they already have games on it, so like this is just different games.

And sure obviously gaming while driving is not a great idea but his is two fold - 1) that's an easily solvable issue by limiting the gaming function to only in park [which has numerous functions still] and 2) While still some ways off and have work to do to perfect it, we will be at a point at some time that fully automous cars will be a thing to where it's negated some.

Yes but Tesla have shown no desire to actually limit these things to operating while the car is in park. The games it currently has are not limited and can be played by the driver while driving. And secondly sure maybe there will one day be properly functionally fully autonomous cars that don't regularly kill their drivers or random pedestrians but we are not even close to that yet so there is no way in hell anyone should be allowing video games to be played in cars by anyone other that back seat passengers. I'm so sick of Musk and his clickbait garbage. Thankfully the safety board has finally noticed all the bullshit dangerous tech he's been adding his cars and are shutting it down. Like external speakers that can be used WHILE DRIVING.

Just buy a Nintendo Switch or that Steam Deck thing if you want to play video games in your car while in park ffs. Putting the games inside the car itself is idiotic. Tesla needs to be shut down until they get themselves in order.

SHOOO WEEEEEE LETS GOOOOOO

This is the first game that I've paid full price for since.... probably Fallout New Vegas back on 360. I ordered the disc instead of digital because it feels like it should be a disc game, you know? I think a physical copy adds a little bit more excitement to it. But that does mean that I won't be able to play it until like next week Tuesday 😩
