Hmmm Star People, Decoy and You're Under Arrest. Not his most interesting work IMO

Im a bit confused though. The Jazzwise article says that the CD set contains 2 discs of previously unreleased studio recordings (presumably from Star People, Decoy and You're Under Arrest) plus an additional CD of Live in Montreal July 7, 1983. However, the vinyl version is just a 2LP release of the studio session with the Live in Montreal July 7, 1983 being a RSD release.

Am I reading that correctly?

This one ended up coming in under $20 on the target sale.
Playing source direct (No tone controls) on the first needle drop

KPG Boom Boom!
It's so crankable.

Zero distortion and it's cut 🔥

love this one and it kinda passed by without too many people talking about it!

My understanding was that the live has been split out for a separate RSD set. So I guess the vinyl version of the Bootleg will just be the studio stuff. I'm not a fan of his 80s stuff so I'm passing. Yet again though, I'd make a strong vote for a bootleg from him in 74-75. Way better than this 80s stuff if you ask me (just bought a bootleg of 74 Sao Paulo off Juno)

Finally received my copy of Bill Evans Trio '65 from the Acoustic Sound series. Again, another prefect pressing from this series. RKS did a great job. Drums are crisp. Nice thick gatefold. Record is flat and I cannot find even a single crackle of surface noise. Bass isnt as plump as on '64, but everything sounds very balanced.

I think I preordered this about a year ago, so I was fortunate to lock it in at the old price of $27.99 instead of $36.

Edit: I think '65 is the better of the two, has a better track list than '64, imo.
