Pepper +11 is REALLY good and I'm glad I got it.

The sound doesn't measure up to Poll Winners. There's something a little more special going on with that recording.

Overall these Contemporary reissues are pretty damn sweet. I don't know how long these will be in production. Looking forward to the next releases!

Don’t think they are limited at all (kinda like the BN Classic and Tone Poet). I’m sure more will get pressed if they are popular, might take time between pressings

For sure not limited by stated number.
Everything seems to be limited by priority @ the labels.
Anything "new" will take priority over the repress items.

Some items will not be repressed.
No idea what those are or when those decisions will be made.

I would not assume what is available today will be available in 2- 3 years

Very much enjoying this one.
If it doesn't sell out before next month I'll definitely be grabbing myself a copy!

"Jasmine Myra is a saxophonist, composer and band leader, based in Leeds. Part of the bustling, creative, cross-genre music scene in the city she has surrounded herself with some of the best young talent in the north of England"

The whole album is up on Stupify, and I presume other streaming services.

I listened to a couple songs this morning. Godwana always puts out good stuff.

Jazz?

Well I was at the LA show so this makes it a must have for me. Has anyone ever gotten a album of a show they were at?

I used to record/bootleg concerts I went to with mics and a DAT back in the day, so I have a lot of shows I went to from 1998-2003. Quite a few jazz shows (Brad Mehldau, Bela Fleck, MMW, etc)

In terms of professionally done? I went to the 2005 Pearl Jam Gorge show they released as a box set and I went to the 2007 White Stripes show in Whitehorse they used in the Under Great White Northern Lights CD/DVD (You can see me during Black Math).

I wonder if I ever had one of your MMW recordings! I was doing blanks/postage cassette trading back in the 90s. I grabbed every MMW I could get my hands on and continued that into .shn/FLAC first from CDR blanks/postage and then file sharing on etree and other sources.

Yea I probably had some too. I’m going to see Martin’s solo show in LA next month!

B&P!! That was the best. I miss physical tape trading. Made quite a few good friends (including a roommate who introduced me to my now wife) back in those early days of the Internet.

There was a cool MMW acoustic show I recorded at The Moore Theatre (in Seattle) in 2000 that was out there circulating.

Much like @TCell I like to record concerts I go to, although its much less technical as I just use my phone's recorder. Some have turned out pretty fantastic though, Nat Birchall, Wildflower, Joel Ross, and Binker Golding being the ones that first spring to mind.

In terms of commercial live albums, I don't have any that I have been to that I can think of. It would be great though. Several years ago now I bought the box set of Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band - Live 1975-85 and the previous owner had put a ticket stub in there from one of the performances that they were at. Pretty cool.

You all trade on/part of the phishook community back in the day? I miss that!

I wasn’t, as I never traded for much Phish beyond the shows I saw in person (Vancouver shows in 96 and 99 and Gorge in 98 and 99) and a few other big shows friends super into Phish recommended.

Those online music communities back in the late 90s were so fun. Kinda like here at N&G now.

I wasn’t even though I was (and am) a big phish fan. Before my early B&P days, I was active on a couple Usenet newsgroups (rec.music.progressive and elephant Talk (King Crimson)). I started B&P with Phish with CDRs and then etree .shn file sharing.

Cool - that’s the site I used to b&p and then get into trading. Never was huge into phish, but I have a great collection of live Miles, Trane, MMW, etc from those days. Lots of non-jazz live stuff too. Definitely reminiscent of what N&G is here now.
