Considered leaving when musk bought it, but it was a great resource for quick info. That's no longer the case. It truly sucks now. Bluesky. Threads and Spoutible just haven't done it for me yet. I hated Mastodon, prob haven'y logged on in over a year.

I deactivated my account this morning. I realized all I did was doomscroll on it and not interact anymore, and I don't want Elon to get any revenue off serving me ads.

This is the part of all this that I’m worried about. Globally, governments are all scared/disinclined to control and tax the big companies, and as a result we all get poorer. The right can blame other people while helping out the corporations, and the rest don’t really have a solution, or a way for that solution to cut through the rhetoric.
Because America is all about the money. Even God is a for profit enterprise in America.
This. I fucking hate that people have spent a decade treating this like a national threat and then today act like they lost a basketball game “oh well, ya win some and ya lose some. Will get em next time.” The whole thing feels like a billion dollar grift.
