Milwaukee radio station edited Biden interview before air, at campaign’s request
A radio station in Milwaukee edited clips of its interview with President Biden before airing it after his campaign requested certain segments be cut, the station acknowledged. According to a release Thursday from Civic Media, the July 3 interview with Biden, which aired the following day on...
The first clip that was taken out of the original interview includes Biden saying he has “more Blacks in my administration than any other president, all other presidents combined, and in major positions, Cabinet positions.”
The second clip that was taken out of the interview is Biden talking about Trump’s call for the death penalty for the Central Park Five.
“I don’t know if they even call for their hanging or not, but he — but they said … convicted of murder,” Biden said.

He was fine tonight in that he displayed competence in foreign policy and if that debate never happened no one would give his press conference much thought. If anything it will likely give his campaign a bit more time to prove he is up for the task.

More Democrats call on Biden to step aside from 2024 race after his news conference
At least three more House Democrats are calling on President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race after his first solo press conference in months.
He needed a knock out, and even though he didn't screw the whole thing up, he didn't nail it either. It was exactly what you'd expect of someone who knows what they're doing but has lost their edge and can't function at the level they used to. This is why people in their 80s should have been retired for years. You can't reverse this, is just what happens in life when we get old and slow down. It's normal, but also why he absolutely should not be president. He might still be a good consultant, but should not be the one making the decisions any more. The same goes for Trump, whose signs of dementia were already showing years ago. These two men are far past their sell by date and not fit for office or any kind of responsibility to be honest. They should be playing shuffle board and sharing STDs with the other old folks.

Yup, so we continue the trend of Republicans trashing the economy, leaving the democrats to clean it up. Where the democrats take the blame for the conditions of the economy, because a pile of hot steaming shit is handed to them, and then because it takes time to fix things, the incoming Republican president takes credit for fixing things and running the economy better.

I mean for the Republican view they are fixing the economy, they make it easier for big corporations to make more money… every time through deregulation and slashing their taxes. The rich thank the government by raising the prices on everything and the government shores up its shortfalls in budget by increasing everyone else’s taxes.

Deflation would have to occur for prices to go down. That’s not a good thing either. Also in general pay has kept up with inflation for most part meaning the effect overall is negligible.
It only still stings because we remember when our grocery bills were $100 instead of $200.
Also, Presidents get blamed for inflation but Biden had little to do with most of it. The Federal Reserve has done the most to rein it in by keeping interest rates high for the past 3 years.
Biden didn’t compound the issue by acting brash. So that’s good.

Prices are still high and will remain high because of corporate greed. Trump isn’t fixing that shit. Corporations call the shots these days. Unless there are some major congressional and judicial ethic reforms including overturning Citizens United it’s only going to get worse.
Lots of other shit to that this country is going to have to get serious about. Raising taxes for the wealthy. Cutting the defense budget. That 35 trillion dollar national debt isn’t going away on its own.
