Political Discussion

I went to college in Wyoming, made many trips to Fort Collins (about 60 miles north of Denver, home of Colorado State University, and loved it there. Might be worth checking out.
Lots of fantastic finishing just out of Fort Collins too! And even though it's close to Greeley, it actually misses the worst of the cow crap smell that permeates the front range from all the dairy farms there any time it's going to rain or snow.

That’s hyperbole. I’ve lived in Denver for 40 years and have experienced what you describe about once a year, on average. The industry has cleaned up its act considerably. Then again, we already have way too many people here with more streaming in all the time. Maybe you are right @Hemotep, the stench is horrible from Fort Collins to Pueblo all of the time. 😉

I mean, I lived in Boulder, Longmont and Denver off and on for 20 years. And did work on some of those dairy farms as a younger guy. Sure as could be you could smell that in Boulder every time it was about to rain or snow like clock work. But because of how the wind blew it usually missed Fort Collins with the worst of it. But I moved out of the state in 2012, so it's good to hear if they've cleaned it up since then.

Yes, oftentimes the wind blows from the northeast when weather is moving in. If you worked at dairy farms maybe the stench just followed wherever you went? 😛
When were you in the area?
From 1998 to 2012 mostly straight through, and off and on for a few years before then. I didn't work for the dairies but for a company that did some work on their properties for a couple summers. But if you didn't smell the cow shit back then maybe you have long COVID 😉 or are just lucky where you live, because it was robust in Longmont and Boulder depending on the weather. We also had the turkey plant that burned the feathers on Tuesdays in Longmont back then. That smelled fierce too. Maybe all the weed covers it up now?

Why did I read the comments....

It's a bunch of people saying he's really not that bad and doesn't deserve to be threatened; the deep state always had this option in their playbook; the left has been openly calling for this the last few days; and this is a Trump team fake to get sympathy and sell t-shirts with his first pump photo.

Secret service has issued a statement saying that President Trump is expected to survive. They confirmed that there was an incident today at the rally and that it is now an open Secret Service investigation. They will release more details as they become available.
