Vinyl Me Please Classics

Won’t be New Folk Sounds. Storf said they tried but Craft had already started doing their pressing a few years back. Would love to get another album though
What Color is Love would be an amazing Classics title but probably better suited to Essentials. I have a feeling that I Just Can’t Help Myself might be the soul Classics pick though. It would be a great pick.

What Color Is Love already has several good editions. I got this one a while back and it sounds great!

Terry Callier - What Color Is Love

You can probably get it for cheap. I got mine for about $15 USD

Yeah I have the MOV reissue and it’s just OK. Looks like the one you linked to has pretty lackluster reviews too. An audiophile reissue would be very welcome.

Yeah Storf shared a list of all classics titles and how well they sold. Davis/Coltrane was 1 and Sun Ship was 2 which is wild considering how new it is. 8 of the top 10 were jazz (Green and Withers snuck in there).
I’d guess that Sun Ship had much higher pressing numbers and they simply have more members now. Plus not shocked that Coltrane sells well even if it’s not his most accessible album. I think Davis/Coltrane was repressed too?

Yeah the pressing numbers def make sense. And Davis/Coltrane and Call Me were both part of the VMP100 repress.

Yeah I haven't had any issues with any GZ Classics I got this year. I'm cautiously optimistic these will be satisfactory for anyone who picks these up.

First Classics Odetta and the Blues (already had an Odetta album in the Vanguard anthology)?

Also, was the rule that Essentials they wouldn't double up on, or every other track? If it's just Essentials the last month could be Isaac Hayes.
